hot and arid area with clear and sunny skies most days. Those same conditions produce some of the most beautiful sunsets you’ll see anywhere in the world. The Leeward region starts just North of Ko’olina Resort with the community of Nanakuli and runs north through the communities of Maili, Waianae, and Makaha, all the way up to Kaena Point on the north western point of the island.
Because of the island geography and weather patterns, the Leeward Coast is a more Like the Windward Coast, the Leeward Coast is bounded by the majestic Waianae Mountain range on the East and the beautiful blue ocean on the West. The residents are mostly local families with relatively low number of mainland and international transplants. Residential properties are mostly single family with a fair number of townhomes and some condos. There are not a lot of commercial properties in this area.
